Shared Contribution Agreement

Gospel Community is a ministry of City Hill Church under the rules and regulations of the law. A Shared Contribution is NOT the same as a tax-deductible donation. Rather than a lease agreement a Contribution Agreement is used.

This Shared Contribution Agreement is entered into by and between the undersigned individuals, hereinafter referred to as “Participants”, to establish guidelines and expectations for contributing to and maintaining an Intentional Christian Community House, hereinafter referred to as the “Community House.”

1. PURPOSE

The Participants acknowledge that the purpose of the Community House is to foster a Christian community centered around shared values of faith, fellowship, and service. See the Mission Statement and Vision in the Gospel Community Handbook.

2. CONTRIBUTION

Each Participant agrees to contribute financially to the operation, maintenance, and cost of community life as laid out in the Gospel Community Handbook and the Shared Contribution Guidelines.

3. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Each Participant agrees to contribute their time and effort to the maintenance and cleanliness of the Community House as laid out in the Gospel Community Handbook.

  • Participants will collaborate to establish and uphold the rules, guidelines, and expectations of communal living as laid out in the Gospel Community Handbook.

4. SPIRITUAL LIFE

  • Participants agree to support and encourage one another in their individual spiritual journeys.

  • Participants agree to commit to the Community Values and Spiritual Rhythms as laid out in the Gospel Community Handbook.

5. CONFLICT RESOLUTION

  • In the event of conflicts or disagreements between Participants, efforts will be made to resolve issues through open communication, mutual respect, and prayer.

  • Participants may seek guidance and mediation from a representative of the Gospel Community Board of Directors and/or Pastoral Leadership if necessary.

6. TERMINATION

  • This Agreement may be terminated by mutual consent of all Participants, by the Leadership, by a majority decision under the established procedures in the Gospel Community Handbook.

  • In the event of termination, Participants agree to cooperate in an orderly and respectful manner as they prepare and move out of the premises.

7. AMENDMENT

This Agreement may be amended or modified by the Leadership and/or by mutual agreement of all Participants in writing with approval by the Leadership.
