A Guest is someone who is discussed and agreed upon by the inhabitants to be invited to stay a longer amount of time with the community house inhabitants. This could be an overnight stay to a week or possibly longer depending on the circumstances. Details and logistics will need to be discussed (and possibly revisited) by the inhabitants. The proposal of a guest staying more than 48 hours must be submitted for approval with a Guest Request Form - this is for security/privacy/liability reasons.
The intention of an invited guest is to provide a place for a friend or family member of an inhabitant, a person who may be interested in becoming an inhabitant and/or a person connected to the inhabitant(s) who may be in a crisis situation. Guests are subjected to a process of invitation. It is not as simple as a word-of-mouth invitation from an inhabitant.
For more information see XII. Visitors & Guests in the Gospel Community Handbook.
A potential Guest will have to provide a background check report, which may influence the decision.
A potential Guest will have to sign the Release of Liability Form.
