TOGETHER read the book and the scripture.
END READING AT: “Is the tide finally turning?”
INDIVIDUALLY take notes in your journal on what stands out.
1 Corinthians 15:44-49 (NIV) If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. So it is written: “The first man Adam became a living being”; the last Adam, a life-giving spirit. The spiritual did not come first, but the natural, and after that the spiritual. The first man was of the dust of the earth; the second man is of heaven. As was the earthly man, so are those who are of the earth; and as is the heavenly man, so also are those who are of heaven. And just as we have borne the image of the earthly man, so shall we bear the image of the heavenly man.
TOGETHER pray for one another.
INDIVIDUALLY answer the questions in your journal - process your devotional notes and pray.
Have you any experience of observing when ‘the tide came in’? Perhaps you’ve been in a nation where God was moving in a powerful measure?
When you look at the state of Christianity in your area, is it rock pools or tide coming in? And why?
EXTRA READING:
“Christ has no body now on earth but yours, no hands but yours, no feet but yours. Yours are the eyes through which Christ’s compassion is to look out to the world; yours are the feet which he is to go about doing good; yours are the hands with which God is to bless people now.”
- Teresa of Ávila (1515 - 1582)
